One Day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

The road crosses the National Park and enters through the sun gate with incredible views of Machu Picchu. It is very important for potential walkers for the 1 Day Inca Trail, to understand that you are doing the same path, as the 2 Day Inca Trail just faster. The walkers must have an excellent physical condition to be able to carry out this trek and reach the Citadel of Machu Picchu. If you think the hike can be too hard, you can book the 2-day Inca Trail that arrives at Machu Picchu in one day, but at a slower pace at the end of the day

Day 1.- CUSCO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – KM 104 – SUN GATE MACHU PICCHU – AGUAS CALIENTES – CUSCO
We begin the tour with the pick-up from your hotel at 3:40 am in Cusco for the trip with our private bus transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station. we will take the train 6:10 am, After 1 hour and 15 minutes on the Expedition train trip, we arrive at Kilometer 104 (2,100 m / 6,927 feet) of the Cusco-Machu Picchu road, where we start your trip and pass through the first check Point.
Then, we begin a climb for two hours and 40 minutes to the incredible archaeological site of Wiñay Wayna (8,748 feet). Once we arrive, you will appreciate the spectacular views of the Sacred Valley canyon, the impressive Inca sites and the connection to the four-day Inca Trail.
After having had time to enjoy this wonderful view, we continue our walk to the Puerta del Sol (2,740 / 9,007 feet). From there, we will have the first impressive view of Machu Picchu in all its splendor and majestic monumentality. After enjoying the view of Machu Picchu, we walked downhill for an hour to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
Once there we will explore one of the most important centers, Machu Picchu. A 2-hour guided tour takes you to the fascinating history of these mysterious ruins.
After that, you will have enough time to explore Machu Picchu and take photos before going to Aguas Calientes for dinner. In the evening (6:20 pm), you will take the Expedition train back to Ollantaytambo and take our private van to Cusco and your hotel. You will arrive around 10:00 pm.
