The Ancascocha road is off the beaten track, that is why we offer alternate routes that satisfy our clients, this route is hard for trekkers but it is one of the quietest and very peaceful routes, hard to walk is the first day all the day uphill until reaching the Inti Punku camp, the second day is only 3 hours to reach the Buena Negra pass with a height of 4 450 meters will be a challenge for each of the mountaineering fans.
Ancascocha trek is also very picturesque, going through colorful mountains and valleys and following the incredible Inca trail road network.

Trek Briefing to Ancascocha Inca Trail
We will meet the previous day to give you detailed information about the trip. One day before leaving for the Ancascocha Inca Trail, we will provide you Ample information regarding your upcoming 5-day trek and any other details that you would like.
Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Cachiccata – Sun Gate
Breakfast /Lunch/ Dinner
After having breakfast at your hotel, we will come pick you up with our private bus and go to Sacred Valley, in the Cachiccata community (3200 mt) where will start our journey. The walk uphill will lead to Inca quarry (3200m) where you will learn about rocks carving and its techniques. We will then go uphill to get to lunch at Choquetacarpu which is an hour away. Full of energy, we will keep going for a 1 hour and half walk to reach to the impressive Sun Gate (3885m) or “Inti Punku” and stay overnight close to the site and we are going to have a beautiful sun set in the afternoon having a cup of coffee as well enjoying the priceless view of sacred of the Incas.

Day 2: Sun Gate – Chancachuco – Ancascocha Valley

We will have a delicious breakfast in this wonderful place before starting to walk for about 1 hour easily hike and after this we are going uphill about 2/30 minutes to the top of the mountain and here we might make an offering to the Veronica mountain and to Mother Earth. We will then keep going 40 minutes downhill to get to our lunch until Chancachuco Pampa (4200m) where we will stop for lunch. After gathering some energy, we will walk for 3 hours to get to Ancascocha camping site (3700m) where we will camp for the night. along the way, we are going to have beautiful mountains really colorful to get photos the mountains offers unforgettable experience for ancascocha treks to Machupichu.

Day 3: Ancascocha – Huayanay Pass -Paucarcancha
Tent / Breakfast / Lunch /Dinner
After having breakfast we will go up the Huayanay mountains (4670m) for 2 hours to leave little by little the wonderful valley of Ancascocha. Along the way, you will appreciate the colorful mountains, lagoons, birds and even see a puma if you will be lucky enough. We will then walk 2 hours more to arrive at the Inca Raquay valley to have lunch (3900 mt) not one are there basically we can feel nature of the Peruvian Andes.
We will already be on the Inca trail that third day, which we will follow for about an hour to reach the campsite call Paucarcancha inca ruins this place will be our camping to over night and to enjoy last peaceful place.

Day 4: Paucarcancha – kilometer 82 – Ollantaytambo-Aguas Calientes
Tent /breakfast /lunch /dinner
We will wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and start walking an hour and a half until the community of Paucarcancha, where we will explore the archaeological site for a little while. We will then keep walking for 30 minutes to arrive at Huayllabamba, the connection with the Inca trail and walk 3 hours more before having lunch. Along this Inca trail, we will appreciate various archaeological sites like Patallacta and Wilkaracay and little Incan constructions. A bus will take us to Ollantaytambo where we will take the train and reach Aguas Calientes to stay overnight in a hotel.

Day 5: Aguas Calientes –Machipicchu Ruins-Cusco

You will have an early breakfast at your hotel and take the bus at 5:30 am for 30 minutes to go up to Machu Pichu and appreciate the sunrise over the ruins. The tour with our guide inside the site will last 2 hours and you will have free time afterwards to explore the city on your own. Later on, we will go back to Ollantaytambo and take the bus back to Cusco and to your hotel.
