Salkantay Trek to Machupicchu

Briefing
You will have a thorough briefing with your guide 1 or 2 days before your salkantay trek to machu picchu. Your guide will meet you at your hotel and you can take this opportunity to ask questions and make any final preparations.

Itinerary
Day 1 cusco – Mollepata-Soraypamapa-Huayracmachay
Hotel /Breakfast /Lunch /Dinner
After having breakfast at your hotel, we will come pick you up and leave to the Soraypampa mountain (3900m). The walk will start from there for about 5 hours, going along the Salkantay trek and reaching the highest peak (4650m). We will be close to the Salkantay mountain, where you will be enjoying lagoons and take pictures. Later on, we will go down for 3 hours to get to our campsite, located in the Huayracmachay pampa (3800m). Your tents and luggages will be there already.

Day 2 Huayracmachuay-playa-Lucmabamaba

having a delicious breakfast and get some energy for the day awaiting for you. We will leave to Collpa which is a 4 hours walk and then take a local bus until Lucmabamba, where we will stop for lunch. After a little while, you will join the “Coffee tour” where you will discover the all process of making coffee from the plant to the drink. We will go later on to the famous hot springs (or medicinal baths) in the district of Santa Teresa, and finally reach our campsite around 5pm to have dinner.

Day 3 Lucmabamba –Hydroelectric-Aguas Calientes

We will wake up early, have breakfast and start walking to Llactapata which will take about 3 hours. There, we will have a great viewpoint over a part of Machu Pichu (2700m) before walking down for 2 hours to reach the hidroelectrica and stop for lunch. Later on, we will have a very nice and flat 3 hours walk to get to Aguas Calientes, where we will see many birds and fruit plantations.
When we will arrive there, we will show you your hotel and then eat together at one of the best restaurant in town.

Day 4 Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Aguas Calientes – Cusco
Hotel /Breakfast
After having a copious breakfast at the hotel early in the morning, we will take the bus for 30 minutes to get to Machu Pichu. The tour with our guide will last 2 hours maximum in accordance with the rules of the site, but you will have free time afterwards to explore the city on your own. We will then go back down to Aguas Calientes to take the train and go to Ollantaytambo, and finally take our bus for 1h20 back to Cusco and to your hotel
