Itinerary
Day 1 Cusco-Huchuyqosqo Trek
Hotel / Breakfast /Lunch /Dinner
You will have breakfast in your hotel before we pick you up with our touristic bus and leave to the community of Patabamba. The journey will start from there to the archaeological site of Hushuy Qosqo (3550m) for a 3 hours walk first until Pucaccasa (4100m), a little archaeological site where we will stop for lunch and rest for a while. We will then keep walking downhill on a nice track for 2 hours and have a wonderful view
over the Urubamba Valley before reaching Huchuy Qosqo where we will camp.
Day 2 Huchuy Qosqo –Lamay – Lare valley
Tent /Breakfast / Lunch /Dinner
After having a delicious breakfast, you will be able to explore the site of Huchuy Qosqo and take a lot of pictures. We will then walk for about 3 hours to the Lamay Valley and have lunch over there. The bus will then take us to Lares and arrive 2 hours later exactly where are located the hot springs or medicinal baths. We will have plenty of time to enjoy the natural water and have dinner and will stay there overnight at the campsite (3250m).
Day 3 Lares – Ipsaycocha Laguna
Tent /Breakfast /Lunch /Dinner
We will have an early breakfast and get loads of energy for the long day awaiting for us, a 12km walk before reaching the next campsite.
First, we will take the local bus to Huacahuasi where we will start walking for about 4 hours until Ipsayccasa. Lunch will be taken half-way before arriving at the highest mountain of the walk (4400m). We will then walk downhill for about 1h30 and arrive at the campsite, which is close to the last ayllus. You will love this walk for all the animals you will see all along the way like Llamas and Alpacas but also for the Incan constructions.
Day 4 Ipsayccasa lake-Ollantaytambo town-Aguas Calientes
Tent / Breakfast /Lunch /Dinner
We will take breakfast together before leaving to Patacancha which is a quite easy 3 hours walk going downhill. We will then take a local bus for an hour to go visit the archaeological site of Pumamarca, located in the Pallata Valley. After the visit, we will go down to Ollantaytambo to get lunch and take the train to Aguas Calientes for 1h30. We will stay overnight in a touristic hotel and later on have dinner in one of the most beautiful restaurant of the town
Day 5 Aguas Calintes-Machupichu,Aguas Calientes-Cusco
Hotel /Breakfast
That day will be the most important one for us as we will visit the wonder of the world.
The guide will come get you after breakfast and you will take a bus for about 30 minutes before reaching the ruins of the Incas. The tour inside Machupichu will last 2 hours maximum and will cover the most important places of the site, but you will have free time afterwards to explore on your own. We will go down later on until Aguas Calientes to get the train back to Ollantaytambo, and then take our bus back to Cusco and to your hotel.
